Learning together: Connecting social justice movements

Since 1975, Inter Pares has facilitated connections between activists, organizations and movements working towards social justice.

We have learned from each other by sharing deep knowledge of the roots of injustice and communities’ local solutions. We have built strong bonds based on mutual respect, shared values and collective commitment.

WHAT'S INSIDE

Your 2024 annual report Learning together: Connecting social justice movements highlights the depth and richness of long-term connections—and the lasting change they foster.

In September 2024, Inter Pares hosted seven feminist leaders from West Africa for a learning exchange focused on gender equality and agroecology.

In August 2024, Inter Pares hosted two Sudanese human rights advocates on an urgent advocacy tour. As Sudan grapples with one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises, our counterparts shared firsthand accounts of war, displacement, and the struggles of LGBTQI+ communities.

In October, three activists from Bangladesh, El Salvador and the Philippines traveled across eastern Canada for a series of conversations about sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).
