Rita Morbia (she/her)

Rita Morbia (she/her) has worked with Inter Pares for over 20 years on a range of issues related to women’s rights, feminist movement-building, and sexual and reproductive health. For several years, she has been engaged specifically with activists in the Philippines and Sudan on bodily autonomy and women’s political participation respectively.

Rita is Co-Treasurer of the Canadian Health Coalition. From 2010 to 2014, she was a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Council for International Cooperation (now Cooperation Canada). She served as Executive Director of Inter Pares from 2009 to 2017, and Co-Executive Director from 2018 to 2020.

Rita holds a Master’s degree in ecology. Prior to joining Inter Pares, she worked in the environmental movement.
