Il y en a encore <strong>une soixantaine en prison<\/strong>. L\u2019arm\u00e9e <strong>a tu\u00e9 au moins sept journalistes<\/strong>. Plusieurs ont <strong>d\u00fb fuir leur patrie<\/strong> et\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/interpares.ca\/fr\/news\/braver-les-montagnes-pour-rapporter-des-nouvelles\">travaillent en exil<\/a>\u00a0depuis les pays voisins.\u00a0<\/p><p>O\u00f9 qu\u2019ils et elles travaillent,<strong> les journalistes qui couvrent les atrocit\u00e9s de la junte militaire ont un prix de plus \u00e0 payer\u202f: leur sant\u00e9 mentale.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p>Inter Pares a collabor\u00e9 avec <strong>Matthew Pearson, professeur de journalisme \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Carleton<\/strong>, afin d\u2019offrir aux journalistes autochtones de la Birmanie des\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/sjc\/2024\/pearson-inter-pares-thailand\/\">ateliers de formation sur le journalisme traumatique\u00a0<\/a>et les soins personnels. Des journalistes de cinq organisations m\u00e9diatiques soutenues par Inter Pares le long de la fronti\u00e8re avec la Tha\u00eflande ont particip\u00e9 aux ateliers de Matthew. <strong>Si plusieurs vivent en Tha\u00eflande<\/strong> pour assurer leur s\u00e9curit\u00e9, <strong>d\u2019autres ont fait le voyage p\u00e9rilleux de la jungle birmane<\/strong> jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re juste pour y participer.<\/p><blockquote><p>\u00ab\u2009L\u2019atelier m\u2019a appris \u00e0 prioriser mon bien-\u00eatre en prenant le temps de m\u2019occuper de moi et d\u2019aborder ouvertement entre coll\u00e8gues nos probl\u00e8mes de stress ou de trouble de stress post-traumatique (TSPT). Nous travaillons \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un milieu positif pour tout le monde\u2009\u00bb, explique Sai Muang, r\u00e9dacteur en chef de la Shan Herald Agency for News.<\/p><\/blockquote><p>Entre les frappes a\u00e9riennes meurtri\u00e8res, les violations des droits de l&rsquo;homme et le nombre consid\u00e9rable de personnes qui fuient constamment pour survivre, <strong>les journalistes autochtones de Birmanie relatent chaque jour des \u00e9v\u00e9nements terribles<\/strong>. Mais ce n\u2019est pas seulement le fait d\u2019\u00eatre expos\u00e9 \u00e0 ces horreurs qui joue sur leur sant\u00e9 mentale.<\/p><blockquote><p>\u00ab\u2009[Nos reporters] sont perp\u00e9tuellement en danger.\u00a0Ils et elles ont peur d\u2019\u00eatre arr\u00eat\u00e9-e-s, et ne peuvent pas circuler librement\u2009\u00bb, dit un r\u00e9dacteur en chef \u00e0 Matthew apr\u00e8s l\u2019atelier. \u00ab\u2009Ce genre de situation cr\u00e9e des traumatismes.\u2009\u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote><p><strong>Le soutien des organisations m\u00e9diatiques autochtones et des femmes journalistes est un \u00e9l\u00e9ment cl\u00e9 du travail d\u2019Inter Pares<\/strong> en Birmanie. <strong>Il est essentiel que les personnes touch\u00e9es par le conflit puissent obtenir de l\u2019information exacte<\/strong>, dans leur langue.\u00a0Il faut aussi que<strong> les nouvelles et les analyses en provenance de la Birmanie refl\u00e8tent les points de vue autochtones <\/strong>pour donner au monde une image globale du conflit.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Les journalistes paient un prix psychologique consid\u00e9rable.<\/strong> Les ateliers de Matthew sont un moyen pour Inter Pares d\u2019appuyer leur travail aussi vital qu\u2019exigeant. Malgr\u00e9 ce qu\u2019il leur en co\u00fbte, <strong>les reporters de Birmanie sont d\u00e9termin\u00e9s \u00e0 jouer un r\u00f4le<\/strong> dans la lutte pour la paix et la
