Pr\u00e8s de la fronti\u00e8re birmane, ils <strong>op\u00e8rent d\u00e9sormais le site d\u2019information en ligne<\/strong>, \u00e0 distance.\u00a0<\/p><p>Aujourd\u2019hui, <strong>la Birmanie est l\u2019un des endroits les plus dangereux au monde pour les journalistes<\/strong>, selon Reporters sans fronti\u00e8res. Depuis le coup d\u2019\u00c9tat, quatre journalistes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 tu\u00e9-e-s et au moins 176, arr\u00eat\u00e9-e-s. Il reste seulement une poign\u00e9e des reporters de Salai Sangte au pays. <strong>Il s\u2019inqui\u00e8te pour son \u00e9quipe<\/strong> et esp\u00e8re qu\u2019un jour, il pourra les rejoindre dans l\u2019\u00c9tat Chin.<\/p><blockquote><p>\u00ab\u2009Si la d\u00e9mocratie f\u00e9d\u00e9rale est \u00e9tablie\u2026 nous allons s\u00fbrement retourner au pays \u2013 dans notre pays.\u2009\u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote><p>Mais dans le sud de l\u2019\u00c9tat Chin, <strong>l\u2019arm\u00e9e a ferm\u00e9 tous les services de communication<\/strong> depuis plus d\u2019un an.\u00a0<\/p><blockquote><p>\u00ab\u2009Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 sud, la communication est tr\u00e8s, tr\u00e8s difficile\u2009\u00bb, explique Salai Sangte.<\/p><\/blockquote><p><strong>Mais cela n\u2019arr\u00eate pas les journalistes dans la r\u00e9gion<\/strong> \u2013 ils envoient de l\u2019information \u00e0 partir d\u2019un signal cellulaire de l\u2019Inde qui traverse la fronti\u00e8re.<\/p><blockquote><p>\u00ab\u2009Les reporters vont l\u00e0 o\u00f9 ils [et elles] peuvent le capter au sommet d\u2019une montagne. Ils et elles doivent [se d\u00e9placer] pendant une ou deux heures pour capter le signal.\u2009\u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote><p>\u00c0 l\u2019instar du m\u00e9dia de Salai Sangte, <strong>six autres organisations m\u00e9diatiques autochtones soutenues par Inter Pares s\u2019adaptent au conflit<\/strong> tout en informant le monde des atrocit\u00e9s commises par l\u2019arm\u00e9e. <strong>Elles recrutent et forment des citoyens pour recueillir les nouvelles<\/strong> inaccessibles aux journalistes professionnel-le-s. Avec nos homologues, <strong>nous avons appuy\u00e9 la formation de pr\u00e8s de 200\u202fjournalistes citoyens<\/strong> d\u2019un bout \u00e0 l\u2019autre de la Birmanie.<\/p><p>Dans cette situation difficile, <strong>plusieurs m\u00e9dias d\u00e9pendent de la g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 des donateurs et donatrices<\/strong> pour survivre. <strong>Mais les fonds se tarissent<\/strong> avec l\u2019escalade du conflit, d\u00e9clare Salai Sangte. Avant le coup d\u2019\u00c9tat, il y avait plus de 20\u202fm\u00e9dias d\u2019information dans l\u2019\u00c9tat Chin. Il estime qu\u2019il en reste seulement six.<\/p><blockquote><p>\u00ab\u2009Il faut lutter de plus en plus pour survivre\u2009\u00bb, dit-il des m\u00e9dias en Birmanie. \u00ab\u2009C\u2019est notre
