Meet Mariam
Mariam, a Tuareg (Indigenous) woman from Timbuktu, Mali, is a trained doctor, activist, and educator. A former president of the United Nation Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII), Mariam is engaged in research and governance within Indigenous-led organizations related to rights, biodiversity, and health.
