Odelle Pike

Meet Odelle
Odelle Pike grew up in a strong Mi’kmaq family in St. George’s, NL. For over 25 years she owned a successful business while dedicating herself to community service, earning national recognition such as the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Governor General’s Sovereign Award for Indigenous Leadership, the Ulnooweg Lifetime Achievement Award, NLOWE Visionary Award, and an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Memorial University.
 
Since retiring, Odelle has focused on cultural revitalization and supporting Indigenous men, women, youth, and families affected by Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Residential Schools. She is President of the Newfoundland Aboriginal Women’s Network, founder of the Bay St. George Cultural Circle, and a respected Elder, teacher, mentor, and advocate for rebuilding Mi’kmaq communities.
